Treatment of Spinal Compression Fractures

Compression fractures of the spine can be a cause of significant back pain. In many cases, patients will not heal these fractures on their own. Vascular and Interventional Physicians specialize in the evaluation and treatment of these fractures.

The evaluation includes screening for risk factors, determination of cause, and future prevention.

When it comes to treatment, our expertise is unmatched! We have state of the art imaging equipment, exceptional experience with quality care, and access to the latest treatment technology.

Treatments available:

  • Kyphoplasty, or augmentation vertebroplasty
  • Vertebroplasty
  • Spine tumor coblation vertebroplasty

Diagnostic spine and pain services

We are not a pain clinic, but instead provide diagnostic procedures upon request from a spine surgeon.

Selective Nerve Root Blocks and Transforamenal Epidural Steroid Injections

Our experience has shown that CT guided nerve root blocks and transforamenal epidural steroids have excellent therapeutic benefits, preventing the majority of patients from needing a surgery. For patients who do not receive durable relief, they provide the surgeon with improved accuracy, and can even give a preview of what a minimally invasive decompression might feel like.

Discography

We provide discography for patients undergoing surgical evaluation. This is a difficult procedure for some physicians to master, and is not utilized by all spine surgeons across the nation because of the variability of results achieved. Surgeons who request it for their surgical planning process use our services with great confidence. Meticulous attention to detail is required to get the most reliable and consistent information possible, and that is what we deliver.
